Luxury Vinyl Tiles

Since it’s hey-day in the 1980s, vinyl has come a very long way. It is still one of the most affordable and durable types of flooring on the market; but rather than just being sold in large room-width sheets, it now comes in both a tiled and plank format. These tiles and planks are much easier to lay, and they offer a number of additional benefits, such as the option to create a completely customised bespoke floor for your heavy-traffic space and allowing you to quickly swap out any damaged tiles.

Natural Luxury Vinyl Flooring

Here at WJD Flooring, we currently stock both standard vinyl tiles and luxury vinyl tiles as part of our products range. Luxury vinyl tiles, such as those displayed below, differ from standard in one main way; that is, in their ability to mimic the look of natural materials. The surface layer of luxury vinyl flooring is printed with a photo image, thus simulating either stone (e.g. slate, travertine, marble) or wood (e.g. maple, oak, walnut and pine). Each tile is then detailed with an intricate texture that resembles the natural material and creates a very realistic and incredibly impressive finish.

Our extensive collection of luxury vinyl flooring features styles and designs by some of the world’s leading floor manufacturers and providers, including Forbo, Gerflor, Polyflor, SO, and Tarkett. Each brand has extensive experience in the industry and they are all renowned for their high-quality, durable and stylish luxury vinyl tiles. You can expect everything from traditional light oak and frosted birch to contemporary pink and purple wooden designs. Slate-grey tiles and flooring with a silky-smooth marble effect. Basic concrete finishes and pretty Italian style mosaics. Trust us, our collection of luxury vinyl tile flooring really does have it.

So why not take a look today and see which au naturel design catches your eye? If you have any questions about the luxury vinyl flooring that we offer or any of our other vinyl products, please feel free to contact us on 01744 885514 or via email at info@wjdflooring.co.uk. Luxury Vinyl Tiles FAQs

Yes, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) are one of the simplest products to install yourself.

They are easy to cut and resize and require no bonding to the subfloor. Instead, they click together edge-to-edge and end-to-end.

Of course, you will need to prepare the subfloor for luxury vinyl tiles to ensure it’s smooth, structurally sound, and free from dirt and debris. However, all it takes is a quick sweep or hoover.

LVT is typically one of the more expensive flooring options out there, offering a smooth, seamless finish. Thanks to its excellent durability, it’s a fantastic long-term investment for the home or workplace.

It’s difficult to put an exact figure on LVT flooring as it often depends on several factors. These include the type of tiles (i.e. Polyflor or Tarkett), the size of your floor and your preferred finish or colour.

Here at WJD Flooring, we pride ourselves on offering competitive prices and are delighted to supply luxury vinyl tiles for as little as £20.11 per m².

For a better idea of how much LVT will cost you, browse our extensive collection and click through for more detailed information. Please note, the prices shown are exclusive of VAT and this will be added at the checkout.

With proper installation and care, LVT floors can last anywhere up to 20 years.

Much like anything else, the exact length of time they will last depends on numerous factors, such as the amount of foot traffic they receive, how well they’re maintained and the quality of the product itself.

However, boasting four-layer construction, LVT flooring will stand the test of time and is a brilliant option for busy households and commercial premises.

For more information about the lifespan of luxury vinyl tiles, call WJD Flooring on 01744 88 55 14.

For the most part, LVT flooring does not need an underlay as it has a cushioned base layer. Once luxury vinyl tiles have been fitted, there is little risk of the floor shifting.

However, choosing an appropriate underlay for your LVT floor can make a huge difference to how your floor looks, feels and wears.

For example, a carefully selected underlay will provide extra cushioning, which is perfect for babies and young children who are learning to crawl or walk. On top of providing underfoot comfort, using a suitable underlay for LVT will block the winter’s chill from entering the room – helping to retain heat.

If your subfloor is uneven or you have damp issues in your property, a good quality underlay will hide such imperfections and shield against moisture – preventing water from penetrating the subfloor and causing structural damage.
